Default Stone Mtn... finally

Weather held out for me to finally make a trip. Besides having to hike a good 4 miles just to get to Stone Mtn. Creek and East Prong (got there about 2 1/2 hours before the gate opened to the park), it was a great morning.

Double-digit trout, including an absurd number of others missed. Nothing of much size... biggest was about 12 inches. Had the steam mostly to myself for much of the morning.

Just wanted to give a report after I asked everyone about the area a few weeks ago. Oh, and thankfully I didn't go by weather.com's prediction of rain by 9 a.m. Saturday (when I checked it at 4 a.m.)... it was 70s and sunny by about 10 a.m.

Anyone else go out this weekend?
