Wow! What weather for April. Long johns to shorts in a week. I took some time off, as if I have some work to do. Blues and more blues 1-2 lb. range. Sunday me and wife scouted for new sloughs behind inlets-- soon be time for her to give me the annual continuing education on the art of catching many flounder.

Monday, I anchored in Drum Inlet targeting drum --caught many skates. Tue. targeted trout in backwaters-- hooked big drum took out 100 yards 10 lb. line and smoked ultra light reel before breaking leader. Wed. catching more blue fish when one of those big head shaking fish hit--my landing net is in the car--DUH! Watched as Mr. Speck pulled hook shortly after surfacing.
Heck with this scaly fish fishing and tired of eating blue fish, today targeted some that can't swim away. Tonight for supper, I'm having fojo's clam fettuccine. Tough life down east.
