Default Artificials on a Budget

Just for giggles. Lets say your on a tight budget (Which we all probably are), and your wife will only let you buy 3 different types of artifical baits. Fishing for what I call the big 3. (Drum, Flounder, Trout) Which 3 do you buy. Type, size, color etc. I'm just curious as to how many different opinions we have out there.

Also is there anyone who thinks that there is an artificial bait that is better than live scrimp or mullet for these same fish?
