i was down on the neuse this weekend around dawsons and beards creek and found plenty of trout but none of any size. i caught 42 between saturday and sunday, 2 keepers. mostly just inside the mouths of the creeks in about 3 to 4 foot of water. caught some nice drum under boat docks with tin tops over them and on the shady side of them. caught 3 flounder , all small. drum and flounder caught with new penny gulp shrimp, all trout caught on little fishes in white body and yellow back. they love that color for some reason this year. water temp in both creeks was 70 to 71 degrees. hope this helps. the small ones are in, and the big ones are on there way. don
