Default Newport Marshes

While looking around with Google Earth, I came across that area called "Newport Marshes" and was wondering what kind of fishing it offered. It looks to have some deep channels running through it with a lot of fingers and such comming off it. It appears from the air to have the type of environment, you'd look to find flounder, or trout or even Reds on the falling tide.

Can anyone fill me in on it? Its just North of the bridge between the Port and Radio island. I'd put in at the Radio Island Marina and zip under the bridge into the Marshes to fish... is it worth the run?
