Default Oriental Week - Great Fishing

A great week of fishing with my brother in law, wife, sister in law, and a friend who came up one day to join us. We targeted old drum for a couple of trips and managed 4 for 4 in the boat, 4 successful releases. Spent 95% of our time inside after discovering a treasure cove of in slot reds and rather large flounder in Dawsons Creek. For a week of catching, less than 1/4 tank of gas total, we netted 4 old drum, 26 flounder, 36 in slot reds (8 kept for the week between us 5),6 over slot reds caught and released but less than old drum and 5 red cutoffs that acted like snook around pilings. These nums do not count the undersize catches of flounder and more puppies, all released to grow up for next season. We also caught over 200 6" shrimp for 3 meals ranging from creole to BBQ'd to lightly fried. What a week, here are just a couple shots representing our week, I will be putting others on my personal site later. Everything caught on live menhaden with a few on Gulp shrimp by our guest, and fresh cut mullet for the old drum.

Example of in slot reds, 28 released to grow hopefully to old drums down the road:

Table fare, 2 day catch for the 5 of us that we kept, all others released:
