Report from 10/3 & 10/4: Queen's Creek, MHC/Beaufort

fished queen's creek area, ICW and kayak/canoe trail behind bear island on friday 10/3. had best luck late in the day on the 2nd half of a falling tide at the mouth of queen's creek near the ICW. working the weed beds in that section of QC, i managed a small red on topwater, a decent flounder (gulp jerk shad) and beautiful 22" trout right at dusk on topwater (photos attached). also one very ambitious pinfish on topwater.

not much luck at the hwy70 marsh and haystacks area on saturday (10/4). got one small red and lost a couple more on topwater.

camped at croatan national forest in cedar point. wonderful temp at night - great camping weather!

sorry, lefty, no pics of the campground. got there after dark, left before the sun came.
