Thumbs up Captains Club Subscription Renewal System

First let me again thank our Captains Club and NC Angler Sponsor members for their support of NCangler.com. Some of you have paid for your annual subscription through our secure eStore, but many have used the automated PayPal system. The PayPal subscription system was setup to automatically renew the annual membership with a "recurring" transaction, once each year. Hoever, it is supposed to send a notice to the member before actually processing a PayPal transaction on anyones account. I believe that it has worked as planned in almost all cases. However, I had someone contact me saying that they did not give the authorization for the PayPal transaction on their renewal, and that causes me to lose confidence in the automated script.

So effective immediately I am suspending the automated renewal process. I will try to come up with a way to send a Private Message notice a couple of weeks before a subscription runs out so members will know that it is time to renew. The process remains the same, it just will not automatically renew someone. You can always check your subscription status by going in the UserCP, Paid Subscriptions page and checking your "Active Subscriptions" status at the top. It will tell you your start and end date of your subscription. To renew simply select the Cost drop down selection for the appropriate membership and click on Order, then follow the directions from PayPal. Or you can renew or join by going to our eStore membership order page.

Thank you.
Randy
