NC Angler supports our military men and women!

I hope everyone has heard by now about the Saturday, May 19th (Military Appreciation Day 2007!) event. Wouldn't it be cool to have volunteer anglers "on call" thru NCangler.com so that anytime a soldier wanted to go fishing we could call on our network of anglers from across the state to find someone who could put together a trip for them. As was pointed out in the first Fayetteville Fishing Club meeting, many of these young men and women are relocated to Ft. Bragg, Cherry Point, Camp Lejeune, Pope AFB and Seymour Johnson AFB from different parts of the country and don't have any idea where they can fish. We could have a saltwater, freshwater, fly and kayak fishing volunteer roster of NC anglers and when a fishing trip request is made an announcement would go out to the list of volunteers.

Now I'm not looking to take away from the Military Appreciation Day event at all. Please support that event in any way you can. I'm just thinking that we could build on that idea to provide a network of Fishing support for our men and women who serve us on a year round basis. What do you think folks? And if we do this we need a name for it.
