Brand New Member.....Hello!

Just got back into fishing at age 55 , hadn't really fished since I was a kid. I really enjoy getting out on the water its very relaxing. I live in the North Wilkesboro area and have only fished the Kerr Scott Dam (reservoir) in a kayak. I have had a ball doing it. I have been successful with small top water lures like the Rebel Bumble Bug catching, Bluegill, Sunnies, Small Bass and the occasional Common Carp (some a pretty good size). I would like to be educated on what are the best areas to fish and what baits have you been successful using. Thanks in advance! I look forward to hearing from you.
