Default Here I come

Well I joined this site over a year ago and I am finally going to make the move. I had planned on moving to NC last year but my job here made me a counter offer to stay. Well the time has come and last week I gave them my notice. I will be going to work for MOEN in Sanford starting on the 14th. of July. I'm very excited and cant wait to get settled in. I will be living in the Clayton-Garner area. I have an offer on my house here (New York) and hope it works out. I will be staying with friends there until the sale here is final. It's going to be a little tough because I have a wife and three kids but my wife assures me things will work out. I know it is about a 2 hour ride to the ocean but could use a little help. I love to fish for fluke (flounder), bass (rock fish), just about any eatable fish. I have fished my whole life (39 yrs) both fresh and salt. I prefer the salt nothing beats the smell of salt water. I have a 24ft. walkaround being that I'm going to be a little inland where is the best place for me to launch? fish? I'm not looking for exact places I can find fish I just need a general area for this size boat. Should I hit the ocean or just stay in the Pamlico sound? Basically I'm going to lose all my fishing spots that have produced for the last 30 years and need to start finding new ones. Sorry for the long post but I'm a little anxious.
