lookin for sum bass action

hi , i'm an old Georgia boy,that moved up here bout 9 yr's ago. finally got back into bass fishin,bought an ol tracker and i'm eat up with the fever to go. i live close to hickory and have tried the up river large mouth's a little,around castle bridge. not a lot of success.interested in maybe tryin lake hickory this weekend .not sure but may be a little too busy with that tournament goin on .any input on decent bassin waters would be appreciated. . thanks
