New to NC fishing!

Hello fellow anglers. We are new to NC and bought a small place on Hyco Lake (near Roxboro). We love bass and crappie fishing. Can anyone tell us about this lake? When fish spawn? Which parts of the lake are best? Lure selection? Etc. Anything will help us learn the lake faster. We greatly appreciate it.
