Hello everybody....I'm a NC angler from birth. Born and raised in Horneytown, NC (no kidding). It's just outside of High Point, furniture capital of the world. High Point is also home to Oak Hollow Lake which I grew up around and fished frequently. Now I take the kids and let them catch the fish while I bait, untangle and retie, repair, unhook...well you get the picture and know what I'm talking about if you have kids. It's worth it though, to see them excited about fishing.
I have a 1970 Crosby Sled with a 50 hp Merc, which I have remodeled and also a 14ft Jon. The Jon and 6hp Johnson have been seeing more action lately with the cost of gas. Both are comfortable boats for the water that I fish in, and do the job nicely.
Other places of fishing interest include a Davidson County farm pond unfished by anyone but family for 100 years and also Salem Lake in Winston Salem. Cape Lookout is my favorite saltwater location and I make it there a couple of times per year. I also fish the Ft. Fisher/Carolina Beach area two to three times per year as my oldest son is attending college at UNC Wilmington.
As you can tell I'm a fishing fool and my wife can testify if asked. Her favorite thing is the tackle boxes that are constantly finding their way into the living room. Well....enough about me...what's your story?
