Hello all,

I'm new to the area and will be here for most of the summer before we ship off to iraq. I normally reside in virginia and fish the chesapeake bay for anything from croaker to stripers and blues. sometimes we'll fish for spanish up there but that's not till august.

I'm stationed on Cherry Point Air station in havelock NC and have been around looking for places to fish. I've seen a couple but not having a boat is horrible. I've found either the beach which i don't like myself, fort macon by atlantic beach and a couple spots on one of the rivers here.

If anyone know's anywhere to rent a boat around here or some good places to fish that'd be awesome and much appreciated. I'll be around until september when we deploy so i get to enjoy the summer months of fishing which are always the best!
