Visiting Topsail Beach

Hello fello anglers,
I am from San Diego but my wife has a bunch of family in North Carolina. We are staying with family in Topsail Beach from 06/15/07-06/22/07. I am planning on doing some fishing during my stay. I see that Topsail Beach is somewhat of a penninsula. What type of fish do you catch during this time of year. What setups would you recommend for these fish and what bait/lure do you use. Any info would be greatly appreciated from you Carolina experts.
