Hard Clam and Oyster FMP Advisory Comm. 4/17/07

The Marine Fisheries Commission Hard Clam and Oyster FMP Advisory Committee will meet on Tuesday, April 17, at 6 p.m., in Room 305, the CMAST Building, Carteret Community College, 303 College Circle, Morehead City.

The committee will receive an update on the Hard Clam and Oyster FMP reviews, and will be asked to review and select a position on the following issues:

· Enhancing clam production
· Change of dates for oyster season
· Technical support for shellfish leaseholders
· Non-native oyster introduction issue
· Leaseholder educational training.

The committee will also be asked to provide comments on other Hard Clam and Oyster FMP issues.
