MFC Central Regional Advisory Comm. 5/29/07

The Marine Fisheries Commission (MFC) Central Regional Advisory Committee will meet on Tuesday, May 29, at 6 p.m., at the Craven County Agricultural Extension Office, 300 Industrial Drive, New Bern, NC.

The AC will receive updates on the April 2007 Marine Fisheries Commission business meeting held in Kill Devil Hills and on MFC/DMF activities that affect the Central District.

The AC will receive a presentation on the draft Sea Mullet (Kingfish) Fishery Management Plan and be asked to take a position on recommended management measures. The AC will also receive a presentation on Central/Southern Estuarine Striped Bass issues and be asked to take a position on those. The AC will also receive a presentation on flounder size limits and discuss the bluefin tuna harvest and Snapper?Grouper Amendment 13C.
