MFC Habitat/Water Quality Comm. 1/9/06

The Marine Fisheries Commission Habitat and Water Quality Committee will meet on Monday, January 9, at 1 p.m. at the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources Washington Regional Office, located at 943 Washington Square Mall, Washington, NC.

The committee will first receive a presentation from Mr. Tom Reeder, Division of Water Quality on coastal stormwater issues. The committee will also receive a presentation on Stormwater express permitting from Lyn Hardison, Department of Environment and Natural Resources.

The subcommittee will discuss four permit elevations (Marlee Acres, Brunswick County; Sound Water Landing, Carteret County; Cherokee-Morehead Marina, Carteret County; and U.S. Navy Undersea Warfare Training, Onslow County).

The committee will receive updates on the Coastal Habitat Protection Plan and the Strategic Habitat Area Committee.
