MFC Inland Regional Advisory Committee mtg.

The Marine Fisheries Commission Inland Regional Advisory Committee will meet on Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Archdale Building Ground Floor Hearing Room, 512 Salisbury Street, Raleigh, NC.

Members of the Committee have asked to discuss the effectiveness of the MFC advisors committee process.

The Committee will also receive an update on the Southern Flounder FMP. The MFC adopted the FMP at their February meeting. Copies of the FMP will be available at the meeting and are also available on DMF’s web site (www.ncdmf.net). Public hearings will be held on the rules to implement the FMP in 2005.

Kara Schwenke, will present information on the age, growth, and reproductive biology of dolphin (mahi mahi).

The Committee will also receive an update on the Saltwater Fishing License.
