MFC Regional Advisory Comm. mtg. 4/10/07

The Marine Fisheries Commission (MFC) Central Regional Advisory Committee will meet on Tuesday, April 10, at 6 p.m., at the DENR Regional Office, 943 Washington Square Mall, Washington.

The committee will receive updates on the most recent Marine Fisheries Commission business meeting held in Hatteras and on MFC/DMF activities that affect the Central District.

The committee will also receive a Fisheries Management Program report and will also be asked to make recommendations to the MFC on several issue papers, including a special event exemption for the Coastal Recreational Fishing License; gear-specific permits for striped bass in the Atlantic Ocean; striped bass prohibited trawling; and an amendment to the language of Rule 03J .0103 to clarify the area where gill nets are prohibited.
