MFC Sea Turtle Bycatch Advisory Comm. 6/21/05

The MFC Sea Turtle Bycatch Advisory Committee will meet on Tuesday, June 21, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. The meeting will be held at the Department of Natural Resources, Washington Regional Office, Washington, NC.

The committee will receive a MFC update, an update on the data request to NMFS, approve the minutes and review the handouts.

The committee will briefly review the federal mandates and current management, and strandings data section of the fact-finding document and then move on to the fisheries characterization section.

The committee will continue preparation of a fact-finding document. The Natural History Section has been approved, and the Management and Strandings sections have been completed, and will be incorporated into the working draft of the fact-finding document.
