Sea Mullet (FMP) Advisory Comm 12/15/05

The first meeting of the Marine Fisheries Commission (MFC) Sea Mullet Fishery Management Plan (FMP) Advisory Committee (AC) will be held on Thursday, December 15 at 6 p.m. The AC will meet at the Department of Environment and Natural Resources Regional Office, located at 943 Washington Square Mall, Washington, NC.

This initial meeting will be an organizational and informational session for the AC members. After introductions and an update on MFC activities, members will receive a presentation on travel reimbursement procedures. Information will be provided at the meeting explaining key information on the state’s travel policy.

The committees will also receive a presentation on the Marine Fisheries Commission and the Division of Marine Fisheries Fishery Management Plan process and the duties of the AC's.

The committee will also review the time schedule for the Sea Mullet FMP.

Also, the division will overview the draft goal and objectives of the Sea Mullet FMP and the Public Information Brochure.
