Shrimp FMP Advisory Comm. mtg.

The next meeting of the Shrimp FMP Advisory Committee (AC) will be held on Monday, February 28, 2005 at 6:00 p.m. (agenda attached). The AC will meet at the Department of Natural Resources Regional Office, 127 Cardinal Drive Wilmington, NC. PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE IN LOCATION: Approaching from the north, take HWY 17 into Wilmington, NC turn left approximately 0.3 miles into Wilmington onto Cardinal Drive. The office is on the left, ¼ mile down Cardinal Drive.

The Committee will discuss management of shrimping in the Rich’s Inlet to Carolina Beach area and the Cape Fear River. The DMF’s recommendations will be presented at the meeting. The Committee will also be discussing management of Bogue Sound and North River (Carteret County). The DMF is recommending no changes in management strategies for those two areas.
