| Started out at 6:00 AM near Oriental and quickly picked up about 2 dozen puppy drum, all short. Gulp baits & finger mullet did the trick. No flounder at all in the mix. Later that day we moved out towards Cedar Island and lost at least one big grey trout; near the Neuse River Junction we picked up 4 keeper specs. If you're into blues, there were plenty of those around as well (they should start putting stinger hooks in the tails of those gulp baits). |
