 Cape Fear River/Wilmington
Launched from downtown about 3ish went 4 miles upriver. Caught 3 undersize stripers on a quarter oz. white skirt single blade spinner. One was about 17" the other two were about 15". Had some fun with 2 bowfin, one was about 8lbs - I love those mean pre-historic predators. Caught one 12" largemouth on a shallow dive chartreuse crank. Not a bad day, but I wanted a striper for the table.
Oh yea, there was an airshow at Wilm. intl. airport so I had a little entertainment for about a half hour courtesy of the Blue Angels. That rocked! |
