Fished core creek with my youngest son today after work. We were fishing a rising tide with chunk shrimp and I was casting a Gulp shrimp and a twitch bait.
I got one puppy drum about 17" on the gulp shrimp and that was all in about a mile of shore line. My son caught about a half dozen croakers and hooked into a MASSIVE ray... it finally broke the line but I fought it for about 10 mins with the rod double in half the whole time.
not a bad afternoon,.. I got my first red of the year and best of all I got to fish with my son
