Default Fly fishing OBX on foot...

Hi all,

Spoons here, and don't usually post on the NC coast section cause most of my time is spent in western NC going for the brookies, bows, and browns. I am heading out to Corolla Beach on the OBX, and wondering if anyone knows of any locales that I could use my 8wt fly rod without boarding a boat or hiring a guide; other than walking up and down the surf looking for sandbars and bait balls. I am not that interested in driving to the southern part of the banks since this trip is mostly for relaxation, but thought if there was a place closer by in the northern reaches of the banks it would be worth a try. Any help is appreciated!!!

Tight Lines,

Spoony
