Default Kings off Shackleford

We were hoping to head out to 90Ft for some Mahi this morning but the wind was blowing a little too hard.

Plan B was to troll nearshore and try to find some kings. We ended up catching 12 kings (biggest was 11 lbs), 3 sharks, and my buddy caught a 6.9 lb spanish (nice citation). We started off using cigar minnows until we ran out and then used small ballyhoo on Hank Brown rigs. Several times we had two on at once - a little exciting for only two guys in the boat.

We were trolling in 50 ft off Shackleford along the shipping channel.

It wasn't Mahi but not a bad day for Plan B.

Tight lines everyone,

Rx Money
