Default The one that gottaway!!

I went down to a neuse river flood plain pond outside of Kinston late this afternoon. As I approached the pond I heard the all to familar buzzzz of a eastern timber rattler. That reminded Me that My boots were at home .I carefully approached the bank and cast a white rooster tail along the side of the bank.On the second cast the rooster tail was crushed. The Shamino light weight rod bent doubleThe stratic reel screamed as the fish ran off about 75 yards of line.About 30 minutes later it was starting to get dark and I was thinking about walking out with Mr.rattler in the dark.I worked the fish closer to the bank and then it started another run.Tigthened the drag a bit and the son of a gun pulled loose.Oh ##** Anyone living near Kinston probably though We were experancing a earth quake as a 60 year old man jumped up and down at the pond.AsI was leaving the pond a truck fleahed it lights at me and I stopped to see what they wanred. It was two young boys and in between the laugther they asked what kind of fish I had on?They had been watching Me with a pair of binoculars.Okay guys that's my story what's Yours?
