Oregon Inlet/ Bodie island skunks

Just got back from a three day weekend of surf fishing at Oregon inlet. We stayed at the campground and also fished from the beach directly behind the dunes. We got SKUNKED royaly. I had 5 lines in the water at all times with a variety of rigs(double bottom, fishfinder, fireball) and a variety of baits (shrimp fresh and frozen, finger mullet, cut mullet, squid and live crab) and did not even get a hit. It appears that no one did so I dont fell to bad, but even in the middle of the summer I still catch something, this was a complete shock to me. We still had a good time and the weather was beautiful.
