Just got word back that Scott Wheeler and team didnt do so hot.
He'd called me last minute to fish, but I had to turn him down. My bud Ski went out with him and reported back that they had a few short strikes on ballyhoo's run with skirts and seawitches. They also slow rolled some finger mullets as well.

Though they struck out with the kings,,, they did manage to boat I believe he said 5 gaffer mahi all in the 12-16 lb range. They found alot of weeds in their area roughly 18 miles out. They trolled X-mas tree, 18 mile rock and them general areas....

That's all the info he gave me.... Tourney continues tommorrow.

Funny thing is, the weather called for 2-4 ft seas... and they told me that it was mirror calm out there today!!!! Figures,, the day I take the boy up to Jordan lake to mess around and it shoulda been the day to be out offshore!!! ha ha ha ha.... But I promised the boy, so to the lake we went.

If I hear more from them, I'll pass it on.
