Default Striper in Edenton?

Has anyone tried fishing the Chowan River in Edenton or anywhere along that area of the river for Striper recently? Or do you know of someone who did. I will be on a trip this Sunday with family up there and I was wondering if it was worth taking along a little gear and wetting a line. I would think that with this past week of warm weather that the depth of the water up there should be just perfect for a good day. If you know anything give me a shout. Thanks
Aaron
