Default Day Out at Wrightsville Beach

I took my first Saltwater run today at Wightsville Beach. I was concerned about the tides as I wasn't sure how difficult it would be to paddle on them. It only took a couple of hours to get comfortable with the conditions. Then I had a relaxing day of fishing. I caught a few nice Bluefish on finger mullet. I stopped in to see Tex at Tex's tackle , he recommended the Berkley Gulp baits. i was pleasantly surprised with the number of strikes that I got on the shrimp bait. I'm looking forward to returning and exploring the area some more.
