Finally able to get the yak wet along with some fish slime. Launched at 7:30 to wind, clouds, and lite rain. Landed a decent 2-3pd bass within the first 10 cast. After that I was able to hit all my favorite spots and ended up landing 5 bass and 1 nice white perch. Lost a nice 4-5pd fish not 6" from my hand. Went for the lip grab, hooks pulled but she sat there for 1-2 seconds before swimming off. As if to say, HA HA......Nice fish. All were caught on spinnerbaits. No luck with the fly rod. Gave it an honest try for a good 45 minutes with no hits. Went back to the SB and within 5 minutes landed a fish. Hopefully soon with the fly rod. Hopefully.
