Default Graham-Mebane Lake

fished here 3/22/2008. kayak launch fee was only $4.00. big lake, and motor boats are allowed, so you have to keep an eye on the big boy boats and their big wakes. launched kayak from the main boat ramp, fished the old Quaker Lake area. Wind was terrific, so spent most of time paddling and managing the boat; it was also a bad day to forget my anchor (). Managed to catch one small catfish on a plastic worm. Saw lots of carp in the shallow water at the shallow north end of the lake -- think they are spawning.

not as kayak friendly as the smaller stony creek reservoir, but still looks like a good lake with lots of shoreline with downed timber, and perhaps some good places that are not accessible to motorized boats.

just FYI -- Joel
