Default thats alot of fish

recently bought a nc sportsman magazine and alot of the salt-water articles have photos of people showing off piles of fish. I 'm not talking about a few fish but more than one person could eat in several days. Just wanted to ask , if you freeze fish it doesn't taste the same as fresh, so why keep all of them. I am especially talking about the photos of people standing near mounds of yellowfin tuna, and trout. I have a friend who took a charter several years ago and brought back a limit of tuna. after about a week, he couldn't stand the sight of tuna. this is the same guy who berates me for releasing carp with a .22
