Badin Lake 9/1/07

Took my father in law and my two sons to Badin this morning for some fun fishing. We mainly chased around the white perch. Caught around 30-40. No giants this time around. All of 'em were caught near the golf course in 10 ft. of water. also got a couple channel cats in with 'em. Tried a new spot where I marked a whole bunch of fish that I thought were perch and found out they ain't perch. They are crappie and lots of 'em. Got one nice one on cut bait fishing for perch. It was 17 inches long. Didn't have a scale to weigh it, so I didn't get a weight. AFter I got that one, I tied on two crappie jigs and went through there witha rod in each hand bouncing them along the bottom and got 5 more before we had to go. all were over 10". Nice day, lake is way down!!! hard to get boat on trailer when leaving. see ya
