Bass at Mallard Lake - 8/3/2008

My wife wanted to got up to tanglewood and take my daughter to do some bream fishing. So I agreed and we bought some worms and headed up there.

I just felt like being lazy so I rigged up two rods with nightcrawlers and a heavy bass casting sinker. I casted out to the middle of the lake and just let them sit. To my surprise I caught two large mouth bass.

My wife who was using a bobber and night crawlers caught none. I found this to be strange behavior for a bass as most of the time they will not take a static bait laying on the bottom like this. Anyway just a quick and strange report.
