Wife and I went out today, put in about 1pm. Went to the hot ditch. Didn't catch much the first couple of hours, then bam bam...they started hitting. I ended up with 6 bass, the biggest being about 3 lbs. I lost another 5 or 6. The biggest being one about 4.5 to 5 lbs. Reached down to pick him up and he jumped and threw the hook. It shocked us both. He landed in the water within 2ft of me and just sat there in the water for a split second. Then he realized he was free, he took off. A bummer for me. We left about 700, some cat fishing boat pulled right up into where I was fishing. If I wasn't saved, it would have been a war! Several years ago, it would have got nasty. All you can do is shake your head and pray for them. I end up praying more docking and putting in, than any other time...LOL Have you ever noticed the boat manners is down right...rude. I have a pontoon boat and people pull right up to the dock and tie off. While I am ready to back down and get my boat. ARGH! PRAY Mike, PRAY!
Be Blessed, Mike
