Blues Creek 6/13 Catfishing

We headed out to Blues right after work. Got there about 345pm. Fished for a couple of hours, bass fishing, had a couple of bites, but nothing on the line. I was trying out some new lures.

We headed to the hot hole and I was throwing a sexy shad rattler and had a big hit and caught one of the biggest Blue Gill's I had ever caught. I bet that joker was pushing or over one Lb. I couldn't believe he hit a rattler. I have had them hit rooster tails, but not a big rattler. Should have got a picture of that one!

ABout 7pm, we switched over to catfishing. I anchored in the main cove beside the hot hole, caught one nice eating one there, around 4-5lb range. Had a lot of hits, but no others. We moved about 100yds further into a cove and anchored in about 11ft water. We caught about 15 between two of us in 2 hours. We ended up with 10 bringing home for fish fry. We were using chicken livers. I had read an artcile about using panty hose with chicker liver in them, has anyone tried that before? I get tired of chicken livers coming off when throwing

What else is good for catfish that stays on the hook?
