Fished the Butchers Creek area of Kerr Lake today. Boated a total of 12 stripers with three being keepers over the 26" minimum size. Kept two for a few fish dinners and released the largest that was just 28" but weighed 12.5 lbs. Every fish was very healthy and fat. Other fish in the 23 to 25" range. All caught using bass minnows on free lines. Lost four more trying to get them to the boat. It was an icy ride from Wake Forest to Clarksville Va this morning but it turned out to be a beautiful day with great fishing.
