| Not a lot to report. Made the mistake of believing the weatherman so shorefished the three piers at Beaverdam instead of dragging the boat out the avoid the "thunderstorms". Anyway: Started off fishing the end of the pier at the launch ramp. Minnows on bobber and on the bottom. After an hour the only bite/catch was a 5" bass. Also got rained on pretty good a few times. No hits on the lures I was tossing while waiting for something to hit the minnow. Moved on to the middle fishing pier, once again with minnows on floats and on the bottom. No hits after an hour or so. Weather slightly better. Moved to last pier. Weather actually kind of nice, overcast, no wind, no rain. Had a bait stealer working the minnows, finally caught him. About a 6" cat/bullhead (hard to tell at that size). Left Beaver Dam and went to Wake Forest reservoir and let the white perch get my last two minnows right by the boat ramp. Weather getting cold again. Total of four tiny fish caught from 9:00 to about 2:00. I guess it could have been no fish and more rain, so a little better than staying home. Ever since I froze fishing in the rain a month ago I have gotten very adverse to cold rain. Pity, as those used to be good striper days. Maybe we'll get an Indian summer in Feb.
