Frustration

[Muddy Water]

Well, this isn't exactly the fishing report I was hoping to post.
I got the motor back from the shop for the boat I have "refurbished" and was planning on putting it in for it's "maiden voyage" since today was the first day that the wind wasn't blowing 90mph or raining cats n dogs. Threw the rods in just in case, but didn't buy any bait. Headed for Flemmingtown landing and Oh Good LORD! The landing was like a 3 ring circus that had room for only one ring! Oh Crap -Bass Tournement! No spaces to be found. Folks were parking on the driveway entrance and nitches in the woods going into the landing. The water by the docks looked like a bee hive entrance with boats buzzing about. Definately no place to launch a boat I'd never had on the water!

Decided to try Nutbush landing. Oh crap again. The park is now "Open for the season" and costs $5 just to launch. It's misting rain and looks like the sky could open up at any time, and I had only artificial lures. Call me cheap, but I wasn't gonna pay 5 bucks to launch an unproven boat, not have a good chance at catching anything and get run off the lake after 15 minutes by a downpour.

Meanwhile, Fisherjon was able to slip in at flemmingtown earlier in the day. He calls me from his boat and had to put the phone down twice during our conversation cause he's getting bites! AAARRRRRGGGG!

Guess I'll try to put in at Gaston tomorrow after work.
