Kerr 1/11
Skipped yesterday due to the wind (probably a good decision and went to the boat show instead), then overslept today so got off to a very late start.
Did not get to Flemington until about 11:00 this morning (one boat leaving, other than that I was only boat in the lot), and the wind was blowing more than the weather man had lead me to believe.
Headed on over to Satterwhite and dropped my three way rigs and a small crank bait over and started trolling. Went down the 25-30' line until I had covered the shore past the two swim beaches. Almost no fish marks. Swung out past the marker toward the channel and marked a few decent fish in the channel as I passed the swim beaches and then a few more as I was opposite the point. These were the best marks of the day.
Continued past Red Point and noted birds, but they were not diving. Swung back across the lake by the fishing pier and trolled on back past Satterwhite.
Anyway, very few marks and those were in the main channel. Caught bottom and lost one rig. Kind of windy and felt cold.
Was on the trailer again by 2:30, which is when the wind started to behave. Oh well, got a couple hours on the water this weekend anyway, which may beat next weekend if that arctic front actually does come in.
Also lost a new Coleman green cooler out of the back of the boat on the way there, may have been on Rte 1 just before the turn as I did not see it on my way back out of Flemington.
