| Thanks to Hanna, lake is up over two feet and the ramps at Flemington are safe once more. Pretty much just trolled around today. Ran back and forth past Satterwhite 4 times, marked lots of bait, few fish, and no hits. Headed further south and trolled down the western shoreline. Somewhere in there I picked up a crappie on the spinner rigged on a three way rig with a deep diving crank bait. Never noticed it until I brought the lures in the check for grass. Same rig picked up a large mouth when it bounced bottom just at the entrance to the cove west of Nutbush bridge. Decided to try somewhere else, so ran up the the area near the dam and trolled the point there and over to the rip rap. I caught nothing. Noticed 5-6 or more small shad boils, cast into a few but got nothing. Think some where white bass or big perch, since I saw them chase the shad out of the water. I know one boil was a gar, because I saw him swim by less than 15 feet from the boat. Water up there is stained but clear. Ended by swinging by Striper City to see what all the commotion was about, only stayed maybe 15 minutes, did not see any catches in that time but had heard several of the trolling crew mention getting fish or even nearing their limits. Headed back to Flemington and was off the water by 2:15. Nice calm water, maybe a touch hot, but very interesting to watch the shad boils and see fish chasing them. The crappie got off at the boat and the bass went back in the water, so no fish dinner tonite. Also saw fisherjon out and about. Bet he definitely enjoyed the calm water, as last I saw him he was passing me at Satterwhite headed south.
