| Another skunk, think next week I'll take along some nightcrawlers and fish for whatever wants them to get the skunk off. Anyway, got there early for me at about 7:15 after stopping for minnows and some dead shad. Ran on up to the area between #2 and the dam, more toward the rip-rap to get out of the wind a bit. Shut off main motor and dropped down the electric troller. Put out two minnows on 3' leaders back from 2 oz sinkers and one dead shad on a hig head and proceeded to put down toward the dam, covering water depths from 100' to 30' in the process. Managed to snag one of the minnows down by the dam, swapped it for a dead shad and changed the old shad line to a crank bait. Putted back up away from the dam back towards #2. Just past it I decided I had had enough of fighting the wind, packed up and ran down below Satterwhite to try again. Used two minnows and a red/white spoonplug this time, still nothing. Gave up and went to drift fishing for a bit, both with minnows and dead shad, nothing. Headed back to the ramp at 12:30 and got out of there. Marked some fish at the dam, pretty deep though. Marked others as shallow as 10' south of Satterwhite. No idea what species in either spot. Radio antenna broken, so no rumors to report, and there really were not too many trollers on the lake, maybe 2-3 at the dam, and the same number around the E bouy and Diamond Shoals. Hope everyoen does better tomorrow. Note - I really like the Minn Kota Riptide on the new boat, used the autopilot and it did a decent job fighting the wind and waves at the dam, and much better down south in calmer water. Spent some time just sitting in the front console seat, watching the world go by as the motor kept the boat headed where I told it to go. Trolled almost as fast as the gas motor at idle, plus a lot slower when needed.
