hit tuckertown a tad late this morning.
ran up to the tailrace and was fishing under the dam every thing was goin good 4 short stripers a good largemouth bass and a big crappie. the bass was caught on a heavy jig the rest were red eye shad victims. i was about to make another round in the hole when alcoa flipped the switch and turned the turbines on 2 hours earlier than forcasted by there generation schedule called for..
so it was on though i turn tail and hauled butt the currant caught up with me around the bringle ferry road bridge.. you really can't fight 20 mph water currants well with a troller. the chute you are forced to run between the bridge and the indian dam is barely 6 feet wide and anything but straight.as i cleared the indian dam i cut back toward the mid stream area.having caught numberus fish from the boulder filled chute.. i took this picture prior to fishing it.
as you can see the combination of swift currant and boulders make boat control your #1 focus. #2 is on actually fishing you tend to forget the camera.. i caught 3 striper from the above chute. 2 made the trip to the live well. the entire time this has happened the troller has been wide open. i start to notice i was losen ground.. so i know my batteries are shot -3 hours on high will do that.
