Lightbulb Virtual Lifeline Wireless Lanyard system

Hi all. I was recently introduced to a wonderful product that I am adding to my boat and wanted to mention to you. The Virtual Lifeline from Maritech Industries provides wireless lanyard protection for anyone that might fall overboard from your boat.

Virtual Lifeline (VL) provides "falls overboard" protection for everyone on board. Each person (pets too!) wears a small, durable, reusable sensor. Upon submersion, the sensor immediately activates—sending a signal to the onboard control module, which sounds an alarm and shuts off the motor. XL’s Rescue Mode allows a quick restarting of the engine to recover the person in the water. Once out of the water, simply shake excess water from the sensor, restart the motor and turn off Rescue Mode to reactivate the safety features of VL-XL. Sensors are small, durable, reusable and are easily worn.

I am so impressed with this system that I contacted the company about becoming a dealer for the product in our eStore. You can order it online here. Maritech Industries has also joined NCangler.com as an advertising sponsor. Please check out this product, particularly if you fish or boat alone or are the only person on the boat that knows how to operate the boat. It could save your life.

A side note...a few months back there was a fisherman in NC that went offshore by himself. He fell overboard while working his fishing lines and did not have a life jacket. His boat was found several hours later still under power. Another boat happened to see the guy treading water and picked him up but not until he had been in the water without a life jacket for over 8 hours! He was very fortunate to say the least. I imagine he would be easily convinced of the worth of a system like this now.
