Default Solar Powered Chargers

Has anyone used a Solar Powered Charger to charge their 12v trolling motor battery? Some solar chargers output to 15v, or 20v...since it outputs 15v, that's enough power to keep the trolling motor going if you connect the solar charger straight to the motor? No need for battery??
